Everyone who’s ever edited a document: oh there’s now a blank page at the end of this Word document, time to get rid of that!
Word: no
Everyone: please delete
Word: shan’t
Everyone: * frantically presses delete backspace delete*
Word: answer me these riddles three
Who out there pressing delete backspace delete like some sort of nitwit who hasn’t typed before?
Backspace deletes previous character.
Delete deletes next character.
Oh my sweet summer child.

Linux users?
Ah. I will see your keystroke and raise you the insertion of a delete character on your terminal. Your move.
No, you’re supposed to type delete like its a vim command
