Remember when small trucks were small? I remember. My 2008 Tacoma (which used to be a small truck) seems about the same size as a 90s model Silverado.

I remember the late 90s Tacomas and S10s. I want them back.

Generally speaking, programmers like to program (many do it just for fun), and many dislike review. AI removes the programming from the equation in favour of review.

Yeah, Linux can capture and playback the spoken distinction between lowercase and uppercase letters. Windows can’t do that.

I was at a tire shop the other day and somebody gave them the keys and said “it’s a blue Honda Accord”

The tech came back confused and eventually they realized it was a grayish (maybe a tinge of blue) Hyundai Accent.

At least they got the first letters correct, I guess.

There was a big headline recently about a tech company accidentally hiring a North Korean “hacker” (I’m just going off the headline) so that might be fresh in memory with regards to your laptop farm reference.

Wow, that is impressively sneaky to use the legitimate domain.

It has to be human liver though. The alcohol will know if you try to trick it with other types.

The last round my company did was pretty damn good. The email itself was well done and professional looking. They even registered a domain that was one letter different than the company name for the source email domain and the phishing form.

It was still one of those things that makes you hesitate like “your password has expired, click here to reset it” and the email client blatantly flagged it as being from outside our true domain. The client warning was the easy thing to spot, the rest was really well done.

Ah yeah, that makes sense. There’s a big difference between a 7cm folding pocket knife and a 20cm fixed blade rambo-esque hunting knife… And I can’t think of any reason to carry the latter around in a city : )

I’ve carried a knife in my pocket everyday for the past 35 years or so. It’s a useful tool both for actual work and mundane tasks like opening boxes/etc.

A few weeks ago I was hiking near a lake and found a bird entangled in fishing line. It would’ve been very difficult to free it without some type of blade. Hell, it took almost 15 minutes even with the knife because it was so wrapped up and distressed.

Is it addictive? Like, physically addictive or “that was nice, I’d like to do it again” addictive? I’ve known people who used it daily for months and quit with no reported problems, side effects, withdrawals, etc. Of course, my sample size is 3 so this is anecdotal.

When it got banned in my area the “expert” witness supporting the ban was someone who owned a pain management clinic that primarily prescribed pills.

… No conflict there, no siree.
