It upsets me, how many people spell his name wrong.
But Mister Rogers would let it go.
Lemmy shouldn’t have avatars, banners, or bios
It upsets me, how many people spell his name wrong.
But Mister Rogers would let it go.
It’s the only photo I’ve ever seen of him
He of course looks like Calvin’s dad
I’ve said before, but part of my biggest gripe with Lemmy is the process of curating a decent feed. A lot of new users will see the mess of posts in All, including political extremists, an ever growing list of fetish porn communities, and bottom of the barrel shitposts, and they won’t be interested in spending a couple hours blocking and subscribing to things before the feed is usable.
One way to address this is to give instance admins better tools to curate a default subscriptions and block list for their users. Allow admins to create what they think is the most accessible feed, but also allow users to customize it as they see fit.
You’re all talking about the Crocs, but nobody is mentioning the mayor’s footie pants
Isn’t it too late for it to matter? At this point, she’s on the ballots that she’s on, isn’t she?
Especially for states like Oregon that are primarily vote by mail. I already have my ballot, and Stein withdrawing won’t keep people from voting for her
Eeh, you have a point, but on the other hand, if the word meaning “literally” no longer means “literally” then we need a new definitive term for the concept.
And we don’t have one. We just have a word that is becoming more ambiguous every year
I kept thinking “bump key” which is a tool for bypassing locks
Is this saying the most money is in vr? That’s the only part of this that is surprising to me.
Edit: Wait no, I think it’s just a confusing graph. It’s definitely all in mobile
the word literally exists in the meme in this exact post
Is it “bottom”? You slut!
Especially because they only sell Pepsi products
Nothing about this outcome was a surprise
Yes, my experience with websites over the past few decades.
NSFW stands for “not safe for work.” What do you think it means? It’s pretty straightforward in its meaning.
It isn’t censorship if you can just turn it off and see everything. It’s a warning for people who want to browse at work but not view content that can get them in trouble
Just turn it off and ignore it if it doesn’t apply to you. The rest of us want the tag to be used for its purpose.
Which you can easily turn off if you don’t browse Lemmy at work.
Just because you don’t use the tag for its intended purpose doesn’t mean everyone doesn’t. The tag has a clear purpose, denoted by what it stands for. Most people with adult jobs understand its purpose. Don’t ruin the tag’s purpose for the rest of us by devaluing it
An NSFW tag isn’t censorship, it’s a warning for people at WORK. if you don’t use it for what it’s for, that’s not working people problems, that’s your fault.
The tag is for warning people browsing at work not to click… Using it to prevent someone from clicking on a post that would be unacceptable to read at the workplace is exactly what it’s for
It’s not like it’s censorship, it’s just a warning tag.
I thought Speed Racer was visually fantastic, and did a good job capturing some of the feel of the original show while putting a more modern spin on it. John Goodman feels like he can do no wrong. I just had a good time with it the whole time through.
It seems most people didn’t feel the same way I did
