Death Cab for Cutie is my favorite by far. I’ve seen them live 4 times.

I’ve also seen their frontman perform solo twice, and once more with his other project the Postal Service.

Tough question but I’d say ODESZA is my favourite band. Never seen them live though!

I think the band I have seen most live is The Aggrolites, maybe 4 times.

Tossup between Streetlight Manifesto and Propagandhi.

Streetlight I’ve probably seen 9 or 10 times. Every single one is one of the best shows I’ve ever been to. Their live shows are the perfect mix of energy and technicality. They are just as precise as their studio albums, but adding the intensity of live music and a venue completely packed with people who are super into it.

Propagandhi I’ve only seen once, but it was fucking intense. Every song was balls-to-the-wall power. I got kicked in the teeth so fucking hard I thought I lost one, but didn’t care. I was supposed to see them again last year, but the frontman got Covid the night before the show. I was supposed to see them in a couple weeks, but they canceled their American tour on account of all the Nazi shit happening here. Now I’m seriously thinking about paying an exorbitant amount of money to go see them in Canada.

Yeah with Propagandhi it’s always a toss-up whether they’ll make it into the U.S., they were set to play Fest this year too until they canceled. Kind of wonder if they’ll even bother trying to tour the U.S. for the next 4 years at least, ugh.

PS - Streetlight is playing Asbury Park later this month if you want to add another show to your count :P (you probably already know about that one)

Unfortunately I’m on the other side of the country. I’ve got tickets to see them in my city, but it’s at a shit venue.

I would have to say Rammstein, I’ve seen them twice (or once depending on how you count it, it was two days in a row the same show)

R.E.M. - saw them live 3 times (Edinburgh 1994, Stirling 1999 and Glasgow 2005). Always great!

Carbon Based Lifeforms. I haven’t, I doubt I ever will since crowds ruin music for me.

Say Anything, that band basically kept me alive through my teens and 20s, I got to see them live and Max Bemis the lead singer grabbed my hand and got me to sing a part of the song, best fucking moment of my life.

That was the moment I knew I wasn’t 100% straight, he could have had me that night.

My favorite band that I’ve actually seen live:

Duran Duran. Was a closet fan of theirs back in the late 80’s and got to see them when my girlfriend at the time got tickets.

Actual favorite band and unfortunately have never seen live:

    RUSH

And it’s not because I think that Neil Peart is the greatest drummer of all time (that would be Buddy Rich). It’s because their music actually talks to my neurodivergent brain. It is also due to that the 3 of them were a confluence of exceptional talent that just happened to come together to make something special.

I would have loved to have seen Rush in concert. My wife and I did see a Rush tribute/cover band last year called Lotus Land that was pretty darned good.

There’s a decent size jam band community on mastodon on the shakedown.social instance. Lemmy not so much (yet)

I have been a Cure fan for over 30 years now. I have seen them live twice, both times in their ‘Bloodflowers’ tour. Normally, when they perform near us, they perform on big festivals. I hate festivals.

That was the first time I saw him too! I’m hoping they do something for the shelter 10th anniversary in a few years
