For the small tabs, you may try to enable custom stylesheet (userChrome), there are plenty of themes on the web, but if you’re looking for something more specific you may edit it yourself, it’s very easy. Oh and the default start page is pretty ugly I agree, there are plenty of alternative start pages on the add-on store For the data collection, firefox forks like librewolf should have that disabled by default (I don’t have any experience tho)
Managed to migrate my friends and family away from WhatsApp
Please tell my how I beg you
I don’t think it’s a good idea, Reddit is already fucking itself up, it don’t need our “lies”
open source
What may this cause to a casual fedora user?
Me reading this:
A possibile solution might be to link the post uploading the image to the image itself, and if the post gets deleted the image should be as well deleted, or “hidden” somewhere if the post should be un-deletable. This way removing the post wouldn’t allow people to still view that image, hence it would be unuseful this “trick”
And you can pass through walls
Am I a bad person if I’m terribly happy of hearing about all these turmoils?
some people enjoys it, some people doesn’t. from wikipedia:
Spamming is the use of messaging systems to send multiple unsolicited messages (spam) to large numbers of recipients for the purpose of commercial advertising, for the purpose of non-commercial proselytizing, for any prohibited purpose (especially the fraudulent purpose of phishing), or simply repeatedly sending the same message to the same user.
the keyword is unsolicited: you don’t want it? just don’t add it to your communities. you want it? add it to your community. it doesn’t bother you at all if it’s unsolicited.
so you are able to not subscribe to it or even block it if you want
because most bots are spam doesn’t mean that all bots are spam. unrequested invasive bots are definitely spam, but bots that can be enabled or disabled freely do nothing wrong IMO
remove u/spez as reddit CEO and replace him with Richard Stallman
I absolutely agree, that’s why I made it togglable by anyone who likes
I surely will, compatibility with my free time!
I was thinking of making a community to discuss about lemmy bots development, with tutorials and requests
My fear is that some users want this bot, other does not, and so it will be added and removed 16 times/day by different users… if this happens I’ll reserve the mods the ability to add and remove it to their communities, but I hope that this won’t be necessary
Thanks for the answer! Unfortunately, it says that my device is unsupported… Perhaps it’s only available in the desktop version?
