Finished this recently. Was surprised with a 6.xx rating in MAL, but for me, it’s a top-20 overall anime. For one, I’m a sucker for musicals. Also, I think I’m able to assess it as such because it’s my first exposure to RoV. I already know what to expect… enjoyed it as much as Les Misérables (2012)
I’m blown away by the soundtrack and impeccable visuals. The French VAs were alright and didn’t break me from the immersion. It’s like watching a Takarazuka production in 2D.
