I can proxy for you.
They don’t charge me tax and only $15 shipping. Then shipping within the EU is 15 euros max
I only really listen to them while driving 3+ hours.
My mind needs some engagement or I’ll fall asleep.
I listen to Dark Net Diaries because I’m interested in Cyber security, this American life because of the varied stories, wait wait don’t tell me because it’s light hearted, and car talk because of the nostalgia. I’m planning on grabbing a prairie home companion because my father listened to it, makes me think of him.
That being said. Dark Net is becoming a little more dramatic than I’d like, but it’s still good content.
I have 2 x 20tb mirrored for hot storage
2 pools x 3 x 20tb in Z1 for warm backup.
And I have 2 x 14tb for cold storage
2 x 18tb at a remote location
All are refurbished drives
I’m running 160tb of refurbished Exos right now.
I throughout the years
2 x 10tb
2 x 14tb
3 x 16tb
12 x 18tb
8 x 20tb
I’ve only had 2 x 16tb fail within 500 hours. All other disks have 7k+ hours and are running fine.
As long as you manage your backups properly, you won’t need to worry.
Bought mine through server part deals. Their 2 year warranty is so painless. Shoot them the SN and smart data and you just swap disks.
If they don’t have the disk they just refund you completely.
I use A&P key rings. I’ve broken one, probably due to a manufacturing error.
My current 2 are running strong for 3 years and I’ve switched keys many times. They are bendy, but that’s because they’re steel wires.
Works fine for me. Firefox, Android, and within the EU.
Isn’t SCMP not super reliable?
It’s owned by Alibaba.
Or am I being overly critical?
I have only a few services. I could probably downscale my server.
AdGuard DNS
Tailscale and Zerotier
Open Media Vault
Jellyfin
Uptime Kuma
Graphana / Prometheus
Torrent/seed box
All on Proxmox and mirrored ZFS 2 x 20TB
For backups I use FolderSync and the default backup for windows. Super lazy, but I don’t want to be the IT support of the family.
You can try out Headscale. The self hosted/open source version of it.
I use enterprise drives because they’re cheaper and more reliable.
Got some 4TB enterprise NVMe for 150 each. They only had 3TB written, basically brand new.
You can try DoH to see if it is working.
It’s port 443 so it won’t get redirected by their filters.
Android uses DoT so maybe that works. Assuming that they don’t block port 853.
Try the encrypted DNS option to see if they are blocking all DNS providers or just certain ones.
You can also setup your own encrypted DNS on a VPS if you’re feeling brave.
Some enterprise grade stuff still use BIOS. But I haven’t messed with one for over 6 years
Wait really?
I’ve only noticed aluminum for drink cans. None of my cans are attracted to a magnet. (Spezi and Fritz-kola)
Although we’ve been buying bottles more and more.
The ultralight community would pay $500 just to save 2 oz.
Raw files from cameras have meta data that tells raw converters the info of which color profile and lenses it’s taken with, but any camera worth using professionally doesn’t have any native corrections on raw files. However, in special cases as with lenses with high distortion, the raw files have a distortion profile on by default.
I have a stable job and a good chunk of savings and I still feel wholly inadequate of raising a child. I know some of it is just me being selfish
Fuck clickbait ads
From that point on, I made sure to never lock up my electric scooter outside in New York City — choosing instead to carry it around with me indoors. My replacement e-scooter ended up being the **bullshit ad**, which I still use today because it perfectly blends speed and portability. It’s one of the lightest electric scooters around at 29 pounds, with a range and top speed of 25 mph and 22 miles respectively.
I’m a network engineer, I always have a flashlight on me since I have to get into crawl ways to chase cables
I personally have an Acebeam E70 Mini because it’s high CRI and non-PWM.
The coveted 5 9s of availability is only 5.26 minutes of downtime
