I was in the same boat but also know I sweat A LOT if the hair on the side of my head gets long. I was overdue for a haircut while on vacation and got just the sides and back cut. Since it was really hot outside I was taking several showers a day but started skipping shampoo. After that I would not use shampoo, just used my fingers to totally scrub my scalp.

TL;DR- I stopped using shampoo.

I’ve been having this issue when posting a comment to a particular post. Tried multiple times over three days but still get the spinner. Opened a ticket for it yesterday.

Some instances are able to generate donations to cover costs.

The mastodon instance I use (sfba.social) currently has enough donations to last 8 months. I donate $3 per month.

The Lemmy instance I use (lemmy. world) already has a Mastodon instance with enough donations to cover both. Once they separate funds I will donate to them as well.

TL;DR - Satisfied users donate towards costs.

Lemmy has lots of potential and I’m excited for it. Even started a community for my city (Oakland).
