How is this a hot take
Yeah, but my point was that people generally spend money on things that make them happy. That could also be treating a friend to lunch, but that’s not usually $20k.
So I guess what I was trying to say was, why is it suddenly a problem to spend $20k, when it’s a pet and not something else, that clearly does not create any financial gain but only gives joy to the person spending the cash?
I don’t think brains get more complex because of additional information.
Also, what I’m not sure you mean with having “enough capacity to reflect ourselves by processing everything”? Do you mean analyzing another brain or analyzing your own brain? Do you mean processing every time a neuron fires, and which neurons get what kind of stimulus from it? Or do you mean looking at all molecules/atoms/fundamental particles and considering their state and following reaction?
I think we should be capable of understanding the concepts that make our brains work eventually. But I don’t think we have the capacity to monitor everything another brain is doing and understand/interpret it in real time, let alone our own brain. A computer might be able to at some point, when we understand more about neurology.
The same reason some people spend that kinda money on 30 year old cars. Or collectibles. Or PC parts.
It brings them joy. Seems that might be missing from your life currently.
Yeah tea with honey is the first thing I make when I wake up with a stomach ache.
Maybe removing the tea bag is essential? Idk haha
I think most normal, reaaonable humans agree that both coffee and tea are good, and that both cats and dogs are cute. People just have a preference and like to joke around about that.
I have to concede though, that are some legitimately crazy people who go 100% team XYZ and leave no space at all for the positive sides of the other team.
Idk, I honestly like the windows 7 look. But using it after security updates have been stopped is just plain stupid.

It’s almost funny how hung up you are on that
Sure it’s incorrect, but saying someone is racist because of that is asinine. It’s not like they said that they are worse people just because they’re immigrants, it was just a shortcut for saying “people who speak languages other than English in day to day conversation”. Don’t get hung up on such details.
I’d say it’s more like “Poppo”. The English popo for police would be “poh poh”, I think.
Popo is a word used in German to describe a butt
I liked the middle finger statue
Regarding your issue with RES, I had the same problem. I think what fixed it for me was copying the link of the popup that requests the permission and opening it in the main Firefox window.
I definitely found my solution through google, so if what I said didn’t work, try googling for “Linux Firefox res permissions” or something.
And my Axe!
Do you seriously not realize that those commenters were joking?
Because you’re on the same instance, I suppose
