  • Ad-based apps on your phone.

It’s been done already, you say? Not like this: the front-facing camera is used to detect eye gaze. A counter on the screen starts at 30 seconds and only counts down while you are looking at the screen. If you look away, the counter, and the ad, pauses. The app doesn’t continue until you’ve watched the entire ad.

Another senior dev here, one of those weirdos who likes light mode. Sometimes. VS Code’s light mode is blinding to me, and I never use it. But Nova’s is beautiful and I prefer it. It depends how well the app renders fonts and colors. The oversaturated colors used in most apps are a big problem.

  • AI generated image. For example notice the towel bar goes through the glass. Great concept though.

Edit: Someone else made the same comment just before I did :-) so I’ll add another observation. This immediately looked like AI, but it’s well-done. For example, the tiles are straight. The overflow drain looks wrong but isn’t so wrong that it’s definitely AI; the faucet does not extend far enough and is unusual for a tub, but could be real; there appears to be some kind of thing in the bottom of the tub, but that could be argued away; the positioning of the tub related to the shower is too close, but theoretically possible. Without the obvious mistake of the towel bar it might be hard to convince people this is AI, even if it clearly has that “look” to it.
