So is it safe to assume this isn’t going to be a free and fair vote?

lol@ this. My bet what is actually happening: cost cutting or future nitro feature.
I don’t think this will happen. What they want is for PCs to be like phones, a closed system where you are pretty much locked into installing anything you want on your PC(and thus anything you buy as well) from their exclusive app store. The cloud thing just extra expense for no real benefit to them. However if there’s an opportunity to push one drive you can be sure they will. And MS has been trying to move in this direction since windows 8.
it will be a banking experience where musk will get all of your banking data. I bet that’s why he’s so into it and the “do everything” super app approach.
Someone that youtube blocks now is a customer for youtubes now/eventual competitor. You might say they’re low quality since they won’t pay or view ads, but they still share and maybe upload content.
You know what would be hilarious? Eventually blue sky buys the leftovers of twitter and renames itself twitter. Although by that time it may not be a prudent move. So maybe not.
Lol, good luck at trying to get meta to listen to what users really want.
That’s probably not what is happening. Reddit sounds like it is basically a spac now and they’re probably losing money on their other ventures.
We don’t know yet. If it’s sticky then I would wholeheartedly agree. But if activity drops to pre protest levels in a month then eh…
The answer imo to this is to add people as approved posters and keep the subreddit going.
It is. A magazine is essentially a subreddit. I too found kbin a bit confusing at first but it’s not so bad once you get used to it. One thing I really don’t like about kbin is all of your up/downvotes, boosts, magazines you’re subscribed to, etc. are exposed for everyone to see.
Try the gerboa android client
Same. “new” reddit makes me want to barf. So does the official app.
go to your username in the upper right hand corner, click the dropdown, select “settings”, then scroll down until you see theme. You can change it to whatever you like, but darkly is what I screenshotted.
It’s in the settings.
Scuse my ignorance, but why put ‘won’ in quotes? Did he not actually win?
