Actually Bert, it would be great if you could get some to lemmy. No, not refrigerators

I have an antenna and it’s often easier to channel surf than try to think of something to watch
There’s enough content for some of the biggest communities but it will take quite a bit more migration to fill out some of the niche/hobby ones.
Plus I assume they never made a digital adapter for game gear
Make serving the same ads part of the API TOS, and let 3rd party apps go about their business
Also can change from cards to list and it almost looks like RIF
The best way I’ve found- copy the url of the community you want to join, then go to your home instance, click the 3 bars menu top right, click the spyglass icon search, paste into the search text bar, search, it should provide a link to that community, click on that, then expand the “sidebar” button and click subscribe
Unpaid volunteers famously have too much power
Guy is acting more and more musk-like, that’s enough for me to bolt. But I did exclusively use RIF app for last ~13 yrs. Whenever a Google search took me to native page I was shocked at how unusable it was on mobile
That’s wild. How do federated instances not require >exponential resources?
If i understand correctly-You can subscribe to communities on other instances and that pulls them into your subscriber feed and the “all” feed of anyone else on your instance. but you need to join one to get the full “local” experience of another one. I joined one general instance to curate a subscibe list, and another where I want just that local experience plus I can’t subscribe because admins of my instance block the other.
I love the game play and aesthetic of fortnite but playing solo BR can be too intense and i rarely feel like doing it. It’s more fun and less intense playing with friends though
Thank you, this app is great
