This issue is likely irrelevant due to migration away from websocket usage in 0.18, I believe this issue can be safely closed.

Unfortunately no one seems to know when they will drop 0.18.

Which doesn’t really make sense, because it was clear that this is going to suck once a certain number of users is reached.
