“Up to the Twentieth Century, reality was everything humans could touch, smell, see, and hear. Since the initial publication of the chart of the electromagnetic spectrum, humans have learned that what they can touch, smell, see, and hear is less than one-millionth of reality.” -Bucky Fuller
Faaaantastic! This actually could be pretty dope.
Aw man, it’s so pathetically adorable! I love these little goobers.
Thank you! Haha no, but it may be now! It’s an Avatar: the Last Airbender reference :)
BRB, loading my shotgun with birdshot.
Hm I need a shotgun.
Sweet baby <3 he munch, he crunch, he noms a bunch.
Congratulations!!! I’m so happy for you and Echo :)
I have no doubts about that either, myself. Though even if such an abomination of a doppelganger were to exist, and it seems that these companies are hellbent on making it so, it would be worse for the reasons you described previously: prolonging and molesting the grieving process that human beings have evolved to go through. All in the name of a dollar. I apologize for being so bitter about this (this bitterness is not directed at you, frog), but this entire "AI’ phenomenon fucking disgusts and repulses me so much I want to scream.
We have a box of old recipe cards from my grandmother that my wife cherishes. My parents gifted them to her because out of all their daughter-in-laws, she is the one that loves to cook and explore recipes the most. I just can’t imagine someone wanting something like that in a sterile technological aspect like an “AI-powered” app.
“But Trev, what if you used an LLM to generate summaries-” no, fuck off (he said to the hypothetical techbro in his ear).
The platformer was pretty decent. I remember the intro cutscene scaring me as a kid, lol.
I’m not sure what the purpose of this comment is. Sharks are insurmountably important for the oceanic ecosystem and the historic methods of research and development are really interesting. You have a greater chance of drowning at the beach, no question.
He was always Dr. Eggman in Japanese, they just localized it to Dr. Eggman because Murca.
Here you go, it’s part of an illustrated series based off a writing prompt :)
the GBA titles
I absolutely adored the Urbz game for DS. Pretty sure it’s the same game as the GBA version, but it had an added post-game minigame. I loved maxing out friendships and having bonus areas to decorate!
The square button second from the bottom mutes the audio. I’ve taken to carrying a marker in my car and writing “<— MUTE” next to them. Alternatively, a small screwdriver between the speaker grating.
Hopefully it doesn’t impact them too much. So tired of this AI train man.
Congratulations Echo!!! That’s no small feat of training, I bet you’re proud :)
Keyboard keys are a giveaway as well, I’d bet money it’s AI generated.
That is exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much!
There’s that word again: accident,an unforeseen and unplanned event or circumstance.
But the presence of a task force of public servants who close streets, push debris out of lanes, sweep glass off of car seats, tend to injured commuters and assemble totaled cars on a City Towing truck indicates that the circumstances of this crash are foreseen, in fact, expected. What I witnessed that night was a publicly funded apparatus, augmented by private medical companies, that exists because we know these crashes will happen and have planned around them.
This was a great read, thank you for sharing. Articles like this make me feel less crazy, that the society I’ve found myself in isn’t normal just because it exists in its present state.
Good band! Saw 'em live in Oxford, MS way back when.
Thanks for the reminder Lally :) I highly recommend a Thunder Vest for your animals if they’re afraid of loud noises in general. One of our cats, Pancake, always runs and hides when he hears loud booming noises (thunder, fireworks), but if we have his Thunder Shirt on in time he will come out a lot quicker. And sometimes he doesn’t hide at all! Promise I’m not a hidden marketing rep for this company, but it’s the name brand I know lol.
Another thing I’ve read is that dogs pick up on the actions of their owners, so some people throw goofy little dance parties with their dogs so they understand there’s nothing to be afraid of.
