Let’s just fuck em all up then, right?
The plants still take 6 to 7 years to mature. If you think broadcasting that you can fuck up nopales because they produce paddles annually, you’re not promoting an environment that’s sustainable for the nopales.
You do you… but I think it’s not cool to fuck with them.

I really want one, but can’t stomach the price for what you get. Imma need something sub 10k… or something over 250 miles of range if it’s going to be 20k.
My EV gets between 280-300 miles on a charge and that works great. Any less will need to wait on more charging stations. Motorcyclists are known for wanting to ride highways over choosing interstates. Interstates have good charging infrastructure, highways… not so much.
… is what we’re livin’ in……
Take a slice of white bread and a single slice of American cheese. Microwave just long enough to make the cheese slightly burn… the phase just after bubbly will get harder when it cools. Top with hot sauce or spicy ketchup… but not too much. If you can find it, there is an Indian curry spruced ketchup that is awesome.
I know you didn’t ask and probably don’t care, but free climbing and free soloing are different things. Free climbing uses a rope, but does not allow you to use artificial means to ascend, like pulling on gear you put on the wall. The gear is just there to arrest a fall.
Free soloing is where you climb without a rope. Free climbing uses a rope for safety, but upward mobility is hands and feet on wall. Aid climbing is where you climb by fixing gear to the wall and use it to ascend.
If you know what you’re doing, free climbing is pretty safe. Free soloing is not, but people do it successfully without their huge balls weighing them down.
As a side note, bouldering is also climbing without a rope, but you don’t climb high enough to make a fall fatal.
It also says the man is prone and restrained where the image clearly shows he is lying in a supine and restrained position.
We used to call them Ag-Nags (AGNG’s)… all gear, no game. It was a derogatory term, but it was more reserved for the type of person that would go buy the best gear and never invest the time to learn how to use it or why it had value other than the sticker price.
Go out and learn something new. Enjoy something new. If you have money to buy gear, that’s fine… but know that most people that pioneered whatever sport/hobby your delving into did a lot more with a lot less. Enjoy it for what it is and worry about the gear less… sometimes the squeeze makes the juice that much better.
Run this quick experiment for me.
Hold your toothbrush/phone/anything on your bathroom counter above the toilet, with the lid open, then drop it. Repeat the experiment with the lid closed.
Which one offered a more preferential result?
‘Hardly a difference’ and ‘no difference at all’ matters when it comes to ingesting doo doo particles. I opt for the absolute least amount possible… preferably none.

That only really works if there are funds to pay for it. These firefighters are making $15 (per the article) for doing hot, labor-intensive work in dangerous environment and conditions. It’s hard to get recruitment numbers up for work like that without good pay. Bonuses can help, but it doesn’t sound like they are paying enough to attract the labor they need.
The article also says retention is hard and one of their biggest problems is the lack of ‘experienced’ firefighters. It’s definitely going to be tough to keep people coming back at pay rates that are less than what minimum wage would be if it had kept up with inflation.
I’ve been playing the Zelda series since the original NES game in the 80s. BOTW and TOTK are some of my favorites.
Hoocha, hoocha, hoocha…. Lobstah.
It did pass and is tied to performance of the company. He doesn’t actually get a 55B bonus. His bonus is in the form of stock, its award is tiered based on revenue-tied performance, and he can’t sell the stock until 5 years after it’s awarded, as to prevent a pump-and-dump incentive structure.
No, but he is finding out why twitter had all of its policies on combatting misinformation before he took over and gutted the staff… to prevent getting sued. You can say anything you want in America and the government can’t tell you that you aren’t allowed to say it, but you are still accountable for the damages caused by what you say… just ask Alex Jones.
But operating in other countries doesn’t afford the same protections from government scrutiny.
Disinformation campaigns are part of the reason social media is causing as much social strife in the world. It is not outside a logical line of thought that governments are going to attempt to minimize the damages from platforms like Twitter when they can. You may not beat misinformation, but you can minimize the financial incentive to promote it if you fine the fuck out of it when you find it.
Cognac is essentially distilled alcohol from grapes… think about using wine to make distilled alcohol. I’m not positive, but I think I t was originally a way monks thought they could preserve wine through distillation and reconstitute it back into wine at a later time, but turns out not to have worked like that. Once you boil off the alcohol and discard the mash, you don’t get the ‘wine’ part back.
It’s just a different base to ferment and distill into a hard spirit. Because it starts as a sweeter fruit than grains, like rye, wheat, or barley, it tends to have a sweeter flavor. It’s particularly nice as a warm drink in the winter, but a bit sweeter than bourbon.
