To be perfectly honest, I don’t think Makoto’s feelings were mutual. Ryuji’s evaluation was correct on why Makoto was dating him. That said, I don’t think it’s a bad reason. That’s what dating is for. I think Ryuji made the right call.
I don’t think Makoto feels any romantic attraction to Aoi either. This is just a part of Makoto’s growth and experiencing new things.
That aside, I’m happy to see that Aoi recognises that she has friends who love her. It’s sometimes hard to love yourself, and even harder to believe that anyone else loves you. I have a feeling that when she finally comes face to face with her mother, it’s not gonna be pretty.
I see Naori is playing dirty. I mean I expected that but it still caught me off guard because it just suddenly cut to credits.
This love pasta looks like my box of esoteric cables.
On the one hand, it’s annoying to see Rumi not listening to the sound advice from her friend and blowing up at Jun. On the other hand I can see where she’s coming from so I can’t really fault her for anything.
Nir challenged Sensei’s worldview. That’s probably one of my favourite instances of showing character growth.
Sensei paints the old man as weak and cowardly, but Nir shows that it’s not a personal failing because he’s fighting the same feelings.
Nukumizu thinks he’s the tsukkomi, implying that he’s the “normal” character… sounds of Kaju laughter
After seeing the club’s new advisor, I sense great chaos in the future 🍿
That voice combined with that face helped with the trick lol. I was wondering if the in game voice is the same as the player’s irl voice and when Gaydle showed up the voice mismatch legit made me think he was another debugger.
Now the question is will Haga interfere with the world outside of a quest line. Considering how qa brained he is, he’s probably super conflicted right now.
Also I feel bad for Nikola. You can do it I believe in you! 頑張れ!
Haha pain? Yes I rather like bread why do you ask?
It’s hard when you’re constantly trying not to inconvenience the people around you and forget that you deserve support too. I also feel like it’s partially “if I keep pretending, hopefully I’ll stop pretending at some point.” I can tell you with complete certainty that that’s bullshit. That’s how you lose out on having genuine relationships with people.
Ryuuji is so perceptive W
I think this is my favourite episode so far. It flows like a fable but feels so real.
Truly, the tree that gives you infinite painkillers is something the villagers failed to appreciate while they had it. Now excuse me while I go take my painkillers of the mind.
Burn out sneaks up on you. I learnt that the hard way. It’s always important to make time to relax.
The eating ASMR made me hungry. That butter animation was so smooth.
Ooh rare childhood friend W. They’re so cute lol
Unfortunately just as I was celebrating, Aoi seems to have gotten some really bad news.
I realise that’s the point but I want to highlight it anyway. This isn’t yet another formulaic isekai. The story doesn’t revolve around Sensei. I love how the solution to all otherworlders isn’t to write a story and then banish them, but rather an actually compelling narrative conclusion. Suzuki returned to Earth after growing as a person, but nothing would change if Kaibara went back since he’s long past the point of redemption.
When I heard his backstory I was thinking “ugh, is this the explanation?” but I also had a feeling that Sensei would never accept such a story, so I was thrilled when he straight up called Kaibara boring! Naturally, all the pieces fell into place when I saw him hand Tama the glowing book and any remaining doubts I had about this anime were erased.
Now to add the manga to my ever growing list.
Oh? Is Makoto going to figure it out or continue to be completely oblivious? That cliffhanger is evil.
Makoto’s father is amazing. He’s supportive and doesn’t make assumptions. He’s just letting Makoto explore their identity.
I don’t care how many times I repeat myself. I fucking love this show!
It looks like the anime is now ahead of the manga. Ngl I forgot that the source material is actually a light novel.
Yuki saying that Kuze is the greatest talent produced by the Suou family gives me really bad vibes. There’s definitely more to why Kuze chooses not to exercise his full capabilities than just his own reasoning. It gives me Ayanokoji vibes except Kuze’s issues express differently.
Taniyama feels like a very interesting person. I wonder why Kuze seemed so wary of her because ordinarily no matter how capable she may be, she didn’t seem like she’d be an actual threat to Kuze. I can definitely see how the author was inspired by Kaguya sama.
I call this the Ainz-sama trope and it’s my favourite trope in media.
Noor really is just built different
That was fucking hilarious! My theory with absolutely no basis is that a dev needed placeholder assets and decided to have some fun.
Also I love how much Haga’s freaking out here.
Studio quality Calli animation pog!!
The expressions especially are chef’s kiss
