I was a writer first so I haven’t needed those resources sorry.

Wow that worked. I wonder why it wasn’t there before.
I tried that and the option to logout isn’t there. It also keeps asking if I want to switch to my account, even though it shows my username at the top.
I login to Jerboa and it acts like I haven’t logged in. So I can’t login then logout. I cleared cache but it didn’t help.
Yeah I discovered that! I have to toggle it if I want to engage in my own posts. I can’t browse a place I can’t hide stuff I’ve already seen. Too cluttered.
I have made 1 post, yesterday. It doesn’t show in my profile and it’s not in the community I posted it in. Yet it got a comment. So I know it’s there. I can’t see my own posts lol
Huh. When this happened to me I assumed they had some odd filter that assumed I said a bad word when I didn’t.
I use it and it works well enough for now.
I forgot how much I missed that feature.
My Jerboa just did this as I saw this comment and again posting my own comment.
I didn’t consider that because I don’t search that way. I didn’t search for specific communities. Per your example I would have searched “Chi” then slowly added letters until what I wanted came up. Chicago is proper so that doesn’t really work. But there are several ways to look for autism related stuff, because it could be autism or autistic or whatever and if you just put in “auti” you get all of it. And since I saw that there can be more than one with the same community name, I know in the next few weeks I will have to keep searching for new ones.
I would rather use my energy to do that than go back to reddit. Not everybody would feel what they did was bad enough to warrant expending that energy. Okay that’s not great for diversity but once things settle down it will be pretty close to that easy.
Wouldn’t each instance have its own identifier? Like Bengals@lemmy vs Bengals@beehaw
I’m completely new to this concept so I might be thinking the wrong way.
I’m getting that problem too. I saw that word - fediverse - a lot recently and it seemed like a concept that would be beyond me so I didn’t even look. Now that I have, my mind is blown and technology continues to amaze me. The networks just get larger and I love it.
Oh so you’ve been a bowl of petunias I see
