I often end up in ps because I’m more familiar with it. But only if I have to do some scripting or so.

To be honest… A lot of social media should actually be banned.
What are the advantages of Mint then compared to pop os? In what terms does it run circles around pop?
My biggest point is that it works out of the box and that it feels more premium compared to Ubuntu. It also auto updates nowadays and they build special mechanisms to preserve your battery if used on a laptop. Soon they will come out with their own desktop. They specifically focus on people who develop. Just sounds like a good option for OP. Compared to more difficult installations.
Why is no-one recommending pop-os? Works fine for me in all aspects. They even provide hardware, but that’s not needed, you can just use the OS.
thanks, I enjoyed reading that history. I usually use it when something hangs on the desktop as you said. :)
Ctrl Alt f1 f2 etc. Why do these desktops/cli exist. What was their intended purpose and what do people use them for today? Is it just legacy of does it stll serve a purpose?
I believe it’s just a gnome plugin. Look it up. :)
I always played shooters. Recently I played assassin’s Creed and the Witcher series. So it’s fairly general and main stream I think.
We don’t use robo but everything in VMware is really expensive and is getting price increases. We can also see this with our cloud provider. It seems like focussing on preventing a vendor lock in as good as you can obviously, can pay dividends in the long run.
yeah the location, the atmosphere. I generally don’t play these type of games so I probably should’ve never considered it. But all my friends were playing it so I tried it.
I actually refunded it. I didn’t like the setting. it’s just not for me.
Opinions are always biased.
so… how does one kill the mouse functions?
From everything I asked chatgpt I found the most success in helping me understand some stuff in Linux or just writing small simple scripts that does some converting. But more often than not if I ask it about a system and how something should work, it literally makes something up. If you have googled already and read the documentation it’s probably not going to help you.
In the case of linux there is too much info on the web where it gets all the info from too so if posts are old or false it literally provides you with wrong information as a fact.
What I have learned to do is to just try it but I want to fully understand what it does and I’ll convert stuff to my own style.
Seems to work fine as seen on protondb
just don’t expect the highest graphics.
Forward it to Lemmy :)
I’ll check it out thanks, I have the version that is made with the unreal engine I believe Lol, looks really nice and the music is nice too.
Yeah perfect 60 fps out of the box. :)
Why the downvotes? Ps is pretty good and it works well on Linux too.
