“Ha, that’ll show…me”
“Ha, that’ll show…me”
I love wasps
Takes things personally right away and isn’t yet very good at sarcasm or snark. But you know, that could just be and awkward adult too
All of them except one that I call the Bill Hicks Gambit
The one where Matt Berry’s character freaks out and dumps his girlfriend after finding out she’s trans, and we’re meant to be sort of on his side
My friend showed me IT crowd for the first time and I loved it, but then we got to That Episode
Just the big ones, most days. What is consciousness, why are we here, what’s the point, how does one reconcile the importance of love with an uncaring nightmare universe where almost everything must kill to survive, etc
Lol @ the handwringing libs who think this isn’t the foundations of the privileged world they live in
I get it though, I grew up in the US after 9/11 so of course I was propagandized to hell and back like every other kid. The number of times i heard adults just flat out advocate for a nuclear holocaust of the middle east… When you’re so young, and so used to being given logical-sounding reasons to cheer for the imperial boot, it’s shocking to see people who actually ARE fighting for their freedoms, and doubly shocking when you see that they don’t comport to our conditioned, pampered habit of pretending to be morally better than their opponents. They don’t need to pretend like we need to, because their opponents are the people doing genocide and not some poor dirt farmers. But lest you think I don’t have a consistent stance on this, let me break it down:
-Death sucks
-It’s bad when families are killed
-it’s good when nazis are killed, because then they can no longer kill families
-Ergo it’s fine to celebrate and depict fascist death, in the same way you would depict a firetruck hosing down a flaming building; both are depictions of the saving of life.
I’m not making an account on your instance to read and reply to anything, so know that before anyone starts going all Winston Churchill at the upsetting prospect of dead fascists.
The original Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark books, with the fucked up heroin withdrawal style illustrations
“Hmm can’t fool me Ivan, you’re just presenting facts that prove your point and make me look foolish, aren’t you?”
The dastardly tankie strategy of knowing what you’re talking about before you start talking about it.
I like to imagine that when the Black Eyed Peas came up with the lyric “let’s get it started” as a replacement, it was like the end of a moon landing movie. The airlock door to the writing room unseals with a hiss, the band members walking out in slow motion to a cheering crowd. Moustached men in mission control high fiving, hugging each other and chainsmoking. Clusters of big vintage news cameras flash. The solemn yet hopeful horn music swells. They did it.
Like how fascists think liberals are marxists, despite liberals and marxists both knowing how dumb that is
Yes, I imagine it would be tiring if anyone actually argued that. Since it’s a ridiculous strawman though, I think you’re in the clear
This is the crux of it: where once there was some kind of definition, now it’s just a snarl word for “leftist who makes points I can’t refute.”
I’m not just a tank, I’m the entire armored division
You’re posting this photo because the video it’s taken from shows him climb up on the tank, have a conversation with the tank commander, climb down off of the tank and leave without incident.
E: literally 3rd result on YouTube, from the CBS news archives:
“That doesn’t make it any less impactful” Uhh yes it does, because the impact when this photo is shared without context typically comes from the implication that he was run over, like an American protestor might be.
Is your sister Roseanne Barr, what the fuck is she saying
