And that justifies using the most primitive and stupid way to solve it? And not even an effective one at that.

Is one side of your brain in shut down or something? Seems like you can only think about things one-sidedly.
Dude, people are living their live. Israel chose to bomb their homes. Why is the Israel government and (some) people in the country such idiots for not finding better way to avoid harming civilians? Why are they attacking despite knowing it’s mostly killing civilians? Why are these murderous attackers so incompetent and heartless?
You must have never dealt with Chinese tourists. It’s not racism as much as directly observable behaviour of many Chinese tourists, especially towards other Asians or black people. It shouldn’t be surprising that many people in mainland China are radicalised, and it comes as no surprise that’s how they behave outside their country.
Do you think shields matter against intentional blind bombing on civilians? Or do you seriously think they are not purposely aiming for civilians with the way they chose to attack? Use your brain.
He’s being blunt, but his point is extremely valid.
It’s because the incompetent PM made the visa free for mainland Chinese. It’s going to get a lot worse in Thailand.
The culture is the problem and the CCP insistent on keeping outdated traditions and social values keeps them in the past. China cultural values went to shit ever since the cultural revolution and the government has done nothing to better it, only doubling down and adding more problematic beliefs. There were needs to be selfish and to deceive for survival, but with the kind of government the CCP is instead of that slowly going away after the worst is over you have that continue to be ingrain into future generations to the point it becomes an identity. Then add the contemporary dose of propaganda and the sudden increase in progress and you have the superiority complex.
“The kids were each given small rations of food and water, and they were allowed—indeed encouraged— to fight over them. (…) Near the end of the first week the boys were divided into two groups and told to attack each other. (…) Every few years, one of the kids would die.”
The heck is this cliche straight out of anime and games. Even those have the sensibility to not portray something like this as a positive.
You can’t get Alan Becker and his team content anywhere else other than his channel. Also, I’ve followed his works ever since the first Animation vs Animator came out.
But considering that humans do get copyright strikes when they do something too similar that should also applies to AI, doesn’t matter if it’s not exact.
Let me guess, NFT or something blockchain related.
Why is it being deprecated? I thought it’s a major income for them.
I think you are missing the point. The point isn’t where the money is spent the most. The point is money has to come from somewhere. And yes, ideally it would be redirected from billionaires, mega-corps and military budget, but that’s currently not happening. The money spent on space exploration is at least somewhere in the same vein as the ones spent on the environment, other researches etc. They are for the sake of making progress. Let’s look at a hypothetical situation where space exploration is getting more traction again (more than now).
And that’s the problem.
The money though. If they are not going to pry the money out of billionaires, it has to come from somewhere (less well off people). Those are arguably better spent to improve situations on the earth than on something that’s likely to disproportionately benefit the wealthy as their plaything, extra income, escape or whatever. Especially because it should be clear to everyone except the absolute dumbest and delusional people how critical action is right now.
Flower with Fibonacci spiral works because Fibonacci appears every where in nature, especially patterns and structures.
The abusive relationship is with Reddit, not the community they moderate. A more accurate analogy is tolerating the abusive person because you don’t want to completely lost contact with many other people you care about just because of that one guy who they’re still friend with. The answer then become less clear cut than just cut off the toxic person. It becomes a question of when the abusive person becomes toxic enough that even the prospect of keeping in touch with other people you care about isn’t worth it any more. That is going to be different for everyone and there’s no right answer as it completely depends on the person. It is still possible that someone misjudge and they’d be better off leaving earlier, but what that earlier point is still has to be decided first according to their own circumstances.
To illustrate my point. Some people believe it’s the right thing to do to leave Reddit much earlier than this year, such as when they let /r/the_donald operated freely. In this case here because you decided to stay until 1-2 months ago, you are also part of the problem that “stayed and helped Reddit build Reddit”.
I think this post simplified the situation in a way that misrepresented the motivation of some moderators.
It’s a subscription, you’re telling me you’re willing to keep paying just for the icon? And not a cheap one for what it’s worth either.
But, but Artemis is for Kbin (for now).
So close to having NSFW in it. What a shame.
