On xorg works fine out of the box altough buggy On wayland you need some launch arguments that I dont remember rn
Edit: actually it might also be nobara making some fixes for it for me Would have to check what it does exactly
yeah still waiting
All the games o can’t play on linux are exactly this Roblox and their anticheat blocking wine Tarkov and it’s anticheat etc.
Even VR games with my quest 2 can run on linux just fine
A hula hoop would be two portals facing opposite directions. Not the same scenario at all. First portal accelerates the object, second traveling in the opposite direction decelerates it equally resulting in a net zero. If the second portal doesn’t move with the opposite direction or speed, then it won’t cancel out. The moving portal would have force exerted on it in order to equal out the energy of accelerating the victims
Momentum is transferred from the trolley to the victims. In order for energy to be conserved, when they accelerate, the trolley will slow down. Now that you think about it it’s not that different from being hit by a trolley that has no portal on it
this entire protest is a fucking joke

The place loses its initial charm
That’s the cycle more or less. You can apply it to internet or to other things. You can look at the privacy aspect, at the freedom or any other.
The internet was taken over by gigant corporations and had it’s former soul sucked out of it.
VR Chat is still a place without that much moderation or corporate control. I wouldn’t say it’s mainstream but facebook already tried taking over that space.
You can even find this in real places like America.
People who could get there were free, could start a new life. Then the USA became just another country with (not a corporation but) a government there to “moderate” people and spy on them and eventually become a global superpower.
That’s all i had to say. I know it’s slightly off topic but i really think its important. This is the video that made me think about all of this https://youtu.be/4PHT-zBxKQQ
Bugs. People that are into linux have enough compium and often the expertise to fix broken stuff that otherwise would work on windows. Your average user will quit after too many things don’t work out of the box.
KeepassXC on PC KeepassDX on android Nextcloud for sync
Iterators in rust are awesome I really hope we will see zero cost abstractions like this more in other languages
Fedora workstation Sadly I also keep a windows 10 install for VR because oculus needs proprietary software for air link
Only game I still got windows for is tarkov everything else runs fine on linux, also using alvr over wifi (:
