    I’m sure you’ve been to hexbear to ask if they think that Russia’s LGBT record is something to support or criticize.

    Yes China is not a progressive as Cuba, however they are making progress with the Gender Clinic at the Children’s Hospital of Fudan University. The majority of Chinese youth support LGBT people, which can be seen in the massive support and love of Jin Xing.

    There are valid criticisms of the process for obtaining trans care in China as well as the existence of systemic discrimination, but to compare violence against trans people in China or even Russia to the United States is just misinformed: https://transrespect.org/en/map/trans-murder-monitoring/

    From this you can see from 2008 to 2022 there have been 375 trans people murdered in the United States compared to 16 in China and 10 in Russia.

    While there are informed consent states in the U.S there are also states that are seeking to prevent trans people of ANY age from accessing trans medical care. People in the United States are killed for waving a rainbow flag outside their business.

    You are correct events like the closure of the Beijing LGBT center shows that LGBT rights in China have a long way to go it is a far cry from the active calls for extermination that exist in the United States
