I figured out what happened- I opened the site in a new browser container and that had the same effect as resetting cookies.
I can’t log in on my blahaj account. It gives me a little notification saying “Logged in” but then it doesn’t actually log me in. My lemmy.world account still works (thankfully, because it’s the only way I can figure out to report this issue) but I would like to have access to my local blahaj account as well.
edit: Either the devs fixed this extremely quickly or the problem went away on its own for some reason.

I learned in SQL class that you never ever hard delete data when there is any alternative. On Facebook and Twitter you get a whole month to change your mind before your account can’t be recovered.
