  • I had an amazing 2 year relationship with a woman in a very conservative family. We were early 20s back then and we were damn near perfect for each other. I ended up having to break it off for reasons akin to what you mentioned. She was not allowed her own car, couldn’t choose her own job, was not allowed to move out unless it was to someone she married. We couldn’t sit on the same couch in her parents house and she had a 9pm curfew. Again, this is in her 20s.

Although she did not hold those values as rigidly, her family would’ve disowned her for doing anything outside their wants, and family was her everything. Because we couldn’t progress the relationship without jumping straight to marriage it just had to end. Really unfortunate TBH and I hope she’s gotten out of it to some degree. People shouldn’t have to live in such a way, being so controlled like that.

  • Oh yeah, I’m a badass mix of Jonny bravo and Evel Knievel. None have performed such a daring stunt. It all started when I was born, I realized I could be born first by cutting in front of my twin.

Then I continued my extreme sport as I grew, candy at trick or treat, using the potty, using the break down lane during construction. There was no end to my daring

This is my story, the man known as Aweso line gets cut

  • Really though, we were at the center of the tech boom growing up. VHS to live streaming. Physical media is retro in such a short time. It’s not even necessarily the advancements on their own (which saying were massive may be an understatement) but also the implementation and sociatal acceptance.

We went from “don’t talk to people on the internet, don’t meet with them, don’t give out personal information”, to literal non-stop blogging of all our life events to as many people who care to see it. This is not a lamentation, merely a statement to express how far things have changed in effectively one generation.

It moved so fast that even most 90s kids don’t have agreeable substance for “the way we did it” since it changed and developed so fast. People two years apart in the 90s can have radically different views of what it was like because it didn’t stay that way for any length of time. VHS to DVD to Blueray and streaming. XBox, Kinect, to VR. Calling, to Email, to AOL, to text, to smartphones and message apps. It was a wild burst of tech that was astonishing and ground shaking.

  • So IDK exactly what you were talking about BUT I work with micrometers everyday at work and you actually grip em with your pinky or sometimes pinkey and ring finger, and hold it against your palm so you can use your thumb and index finger to rotate the top!

Even people with big hands can use them pretty effectively :D

This concludes the unasked for, unnecessary information. TY for listening
