Proton and the end-to-end encrypted note-taking app Standard Notes are joining forces. We’ve long been admirers and are excited to welcome Mo and his team.
They have acquired SimpleLogin and didn’t merge the original app, but they took it’s main feature ( creating email aliases ) and added it to Proton Pass
So I don’t think they’ll merge it, my guess is they’ll either keep supporting it as it is, but take it’s functionality and add it to ProtonPass…or … they’ll just rebrand it, and start working on from there ( which is better in my opinion, because they have good branding skills )
This is me. I use both but I would much rather have standard notes be separate from proton as I use it 10x more.
