one of the best ways to judge a community, an organization or in this case a country, is to see how they treat the opposition, a wise man once said : “in order to figure out who rules you, see who you’re not allowed to criticize”, I think the thing about a tyranny is that we allowed it ( not us me and you ) but our parents and grandparents and ( former generations ), they allowed it to accumulate by letting a central authority have so much control of so many aspects of their lives ( and by extension ours ), so the burden now is on us to take back our freedoms by staying vigilante and reporting on what is planned so it doesn’t happen, but instead we think about escaping , and I’m not saying this is right or wrong, it’s just understandable… because it’s feels like a lost cause, and it feels lonely, like the first people who gonna come after you are the people you’re trying to set free, many people want to be enslaved, it’s so weird…

I am going to pay back to the community on my own way in the future(activism and mutual aid) but first I need to secure my own safety likely outside of the borders of this country and it’s lonely like you said, tons want to be enslaved because they’re propagandized to think that it was even worse before the dictator.
