I have a ThinkPad X280 (similar laptop from the same year but the smaller ultrabook variant that’s ≈ 35% lighter and ≈ 15% thinner. Considering the form factor it could be presumed to be less durable) and its holding up great. I have replaced the tiny ass 256 sata m.2 with the cheapest 1 TB NVMe I could find and I also replaced the terrible 1366x768 TN panel with a much nicer (not the best, but much nicer) 1920x1080 IPS panel.

The only thing that’s damaged is the sticker thing on the trackpad. So if anyone knows if that could be replaced cheaply please tell me.

I very happy with the laptop, I wish it had more RAM (and replaceable RAM) and a better processor but it’s not the end of the world.

The laptop was originally the laptop my school provided for free and when I finished school I bought it for 150 € which it is absolutely worth. Apart from the trackpad and slight normal body wear It still looks pretty much brand new.
