I was thinking I would like to block the avalanche of low effort memes.

    Yes, you (and anyone else) can block it for themselves.

    Blocking communities you don’t want to see our interact with is a native feature of Lemmy.

    It’s a left-leanig LGBTIQ±inclusive shitposting community.
    It migrated from Reddit r/196, tho I think the memes there were better.

    Personally, I like it 💖

        Yes, i think it’s just the most popular community on this instance.

        !196 first moved to lemmy. ml, but people

        1. Don’t want to associate with the tankies there, and
        2. Really (myself included) like BLÅHAJ, as it’s become an LGBTIQ+ symbol,

        so they migrated the community here (and Tumblr #196).

        The more people participate (read: comment & post), the more diverse the topics here will become 💬

        PS: You can always block entire communities, if you don’t want to see them anymore.

        I did feel like I had to block 196 just to get a useful local view. I think there’s still lots of room for wider spread lgbtq communities here and I want to be able to see those as they rise.
