Hi to all Reddit refugees!
Hopefully this new platform takes off.
Warm welcomes!
I heard it’s extra warm in Finland these days. How goes it?
27°C inside and outside right now. People from warmer climates might just scoff at that but it’s way too much for me. Definitely not looking forward to it potentially climbing up to 30 like they’ve been saying…
I definitely prefer cold. I’m near Boston and wear shorts all winter.
At least today hasn’t been too bad. Next couple of days might be closer to 30C though.
Yuck. (・ัω・ั)
Very. A lot of this country wasn’t built for this sort of heat, plus it’s more than a bit scary that these “10°C warmer than normally” months are becoming the new normal
That sucks. I’m from the U.S., I visited a friend that I met from Reddit up in Hammerfest, Norway.
I drove my rental car into Finland for lunch and a beer.
I’m a huge beer snob that has visited breweries in multi countries and 11 U.S. states. So, I had to go into Finland to have a beer.
I had reindeer meat pasta & a brew.
I hope all of Finland can manage with the higher temps and stay safe from heat related injury.
Great!
