When I’m viewing subscribed or all, the pages automatically refresh as I’m navigating and makes it really hard to read posts. I’m accessing with a mobile browser on ios.
On the server I’m using I notice when I sort by “top daily” or something of that nature, i start getting page refreshes with new posts showing up in the list which don’t match the filter criteria at all. Not sure if that’s server specific or just lemmy software issue.
Me too, in the web interface not the server, probably needs a github issue or some votes if there is one.
Same. Definitely should be one of the higher priority things right now. Everything else is pretty great but I have the same error sometimes, especially when sorting by ‘hot’
Yeah, there needs to be a way to toggle this.
Where is the place to give this kind of feedback? I don’t even know if this is a UI issue or server issue or whatever😅
Probably a bug or feature request on the GitHub page for the Web UI project.
It’s a bit annoying because even if you set it to “top posts” or any of the sorts, the automatic refresh makes it irrelevant. if I need to step away, i come back and none of the posts are top posts.
edit: I think the refresh moved the posts because this isn’t even the one I was trying to post in…
edit2: No it’s open on this thread as well as the other…is the main page showing sub-threads as well??
Yeah it’s happening to me right now, and it’s annoying 😔
I have noticed in Jerboa as well.
For me did it even crash after i let it sit while i was in other tabs (firefox)
The upvotes for this post weren’t accurate either. First 268 then 88. Now 7. And it loads for a long time to post or comment.
If you check the console can you see why. It seems like even if you are inside this post is it loading all of the other posts updates
Can you check the browser console in a mobile browser?
maybe if you can connect a keyboard and hit f12. But if you are on your phone then i think it is better if you use the app (for now) i haven’t seen this behavior there
The ios app doesn’t have as many features. Like profiles don’t show posts or comments. There are no notifications or inbox. And no search function.
The same thing happens on the web UI, so I don’t think this issue is mlem specific.
Yea i dont think it is the backend i think it is the front end only because the app seems fine
Yea and now it jumps between 500 and 4 haha
I recommend using Mlem on iOS TestFlight.
The issue is that app misses a lot of important functions, like viewing posts and comments on user profiles, notifications/inbox, and search.
