If you see it’s dangerous, don’t do it. I don’t care what the rules are, if there’s a chance I’ll get seriously injured, I’m not going to take the risk. Either leave the house much earlier when there’s less traffic, or take a bus, or get into a car pool.

Yeah I‘m rarely riding my bike in my city because it’s just too dangerous and there‘s good public transport as an alternative.
Even as a pedestrian I see people with their cars crossing red lights in front of me at over twice the speed limit at least once a week.
