    “Id love to take a case like that”

    Yeah here in Germany we call that “Mangelndes öffentliches Interesse” (Lack of public interest) which basically is what every judge will say to you if you pursue action here, even if you almost died

    Car industry mafia is strong here (and in basically every other western country)

    If you see it’s dangerous, don’t do it. I don’t care what the rules are, if there’s a chance I’ll get seriously injured, I’m not going to take the risk. Either leave the house much earlier when there’s less traffic, or take a bus, or get into a car pool.

      Yeah I‘m rarely riding my bike in my city because it’s just too dangerous and there‘s good public transport as an alternative.

      Even as a pedestrian I see people with their cars crossing red lights in front of me at over twice the speed limit at least once a week.

        When I was a teen I thought there was nothing cooler than zipping through traffic on my bike. The first day I took a driving lesson in the city I stopped. I was looking for bikers and missed most.
