The scale of the disasters have to outmatch the scale of incompetence to turn this around, and I don’t see either of those scales getting smaller.
Edit: for clarification: most if not all GOP diehards lack the empathy required to see systemic issues and know that we need to act collectively to address them. They must experience it. Even then, many won’t change because of a variety of educational and racist systems.
