If an apartment has high ceilings and big rooms it gives me anxiety. I’m not sure if it’s because I tie it to traumatic experiences of what.

In my big apartment that I rented I felt awful and had anxiety. It also has light colours everywhere.

The little one felt cozier and had darker colours.

Has anyone had a similar experience? I don’t know what to do cause I’m stuck in the bigger one until the lease is up

avoid ceiling lights. keeping lighting closer to eye-level can help make the space feel way cozier, so try floor lamps and desk lamps.

i once bought a random led light bulb for my desk lamp from a dollar store back when i was in college, and that thing was just bright enough to light up a room while still keeping it cozy. loved it to bits.

Check the color of your lightning. Sometimes you get that awful blue white cold light. Go and get yourself a nice bulb with an orange red tint to it, nice and warm light.

I’m scared and idk what colour would work… maybe like a very dark blue accent wall for the bedroom?

That’s the neat thing about paint. It’s very easy to change the color if it doesn’t work out.

If you want commitment free pizazz, find some removable wallpaper in a cozy color.

Darker colors make it more cozy. Light colors make it feel more like a hospital. Green, brown, sand colors, dark blue, dark grey maybe. Just slam something on the wall and check how it feels. You can always paint it again.
