If you’re looking for a powerful and flexible note-taking app, ObsidianMD is a great choice. Here are a few reasons why:
- Markdown Support: Easily format your notes with simple syntax.
- Linked Notes: Build a network of interconnected notes to create your own personal knowledge base.
- Customization: Tailor the app to fit your workflow with a wide range of plugins and themes.
- Local-first Storage: Keep your notes stored locally, giving you full control over your data.
- Community: Join a vibrant community of users who share tips, plugins, and themes.
- Sync: You can sync your notes between devices through their native sync($$), or through community apps.
It’s not European (yet?), but Canadian. Well worth a look. There’s even an Obsidian community here on Lemmy.
I still have a few more days before my Obsidian Sync renews. Gave joplinapp a test drive today but coming from Obsidian this feels clunky. I followed the " move from O to J" video and that worked. But couldn’t figure out where my files actually reside, which annoyed me, with some other things.
I’ll give it some more thought, as I’d rather spend my money here in Europe.
