My biggest issue with GOG is that its just missing so many modern games. Even kingdom come deliverance 2 isn’t on it so I’m basically just forced to get it somewhere else or wait. The majority of games I currently play aren’t on it.
At this point I’m just trying to buy games from gamersgate/greenmangaming to use on steam so at least part of the money goes to EU while still being able to do my hobby the way I want to.
Anecdotal correct. I saw it was releasing there soon but sadly that’s already a while after release and I think that does impact the sales on GOG specufically.
I’ve been wanting to use GOG more ever since Cyberpunk released but just plain can’t for 99% of my needs.
I do use it as a launcher (connected with my steam etc) but outside of cyberpunk and the witcher I never spent money on it. All my games on GOG are from amazon prime.
The idea of sharing alternatives is that they can replace the use of the other service. Sadly GOG just isn’t there yet.
CDPR releases their new games day 1 on GOG and I did buy Cyberpunk and the DLC on there to support them, just can’t find any other game I’ve wanted to buy on there for months.
