    The cruelty is the point.

They want to make people afraid to come or go.

They want to have excuses to ramp up slavery. The 13th amendment not going far enough is what they’re going to lean on for promoting the idea that it’s all above board and legal because these people “committed crimes.”

What is scary is that we hear of it because the persone is from Europe. I can’t imagine what is like for people less fortunate 😞 This is sad and revolting.

Exactly, this treatment is the norm that anyone who deals with ICE regularly deals with, and has been regularly dealing with, for decades now.

It’s only “news” because it’s happening to a white European.

There are people reporting on it, but it’s mostly that no one is interested in what’s happing to ‘‘illegals’’. There’s a girl that’s been in a lockup since she was a small child into her 20s. There’s the possibly hundreds of women that have been given forced hysterectomies, the facilities and I think just one doctor that does all of them that’s been identifed all claim they just 100s of women in their 20s needed that for their legitimate medical problems, none of the women talked to ever experienced medical problems that would lead to this treatment, and it’s I believe close to, if not every, woman that went into that one lockup. And these prisons routinly hold people without legal paperwork to even point to, or any legal process they are even willing to claim. They are totally comfortable holding anyone ICE or border patrol beings in, and they aren’t keen on letting people go without serious pressure. Often people are held months or a years past their legal process being completed and their release date given, often the only people who leave these prisons are people who can afford a lawyer who then flies against the prison, that’s the only reason they really let people go at all, and then it can still be months past their release date, and these are people that are being released to their country of origin or Mexico, these prisons are for profit, and they often are staffed with deeply racist people with deeply racist motivations to work in these environments and cause as much harm as they can. But these are ugly prisoners, they aren’t even white, they have accents, they aren’t people like regular white people who matter, these are illegal people. So. Who really cares how badly they are treated or if they live very long.

I have immediate family in the US and one of the main reasons I don’t visit is because I am legit afraid shit like this or worse will happen.
