    The settlement does not include any damages for the reconstruction of the Francis Scott Key Bridge. The State of Maryland built, owned, maintained, and operated the bridge, and attorneys on the state’s behalf filed their own claim for those damages.

      I guess one can argue the lack of resources to prevent issues like this makes the state culpable as well. Although it’s 100mil for a 3-4 billion sized expense is quite odd. I wonder if they picked the maximum amount that wouldn’t bankrupt the owner.
