Just wrapped up setting up impermanence with LUKS and Btrfs. Man, setting it up on a non-encrypted device, and then migrating it to an encrypted one via a systemd script—what a rabbit hole of searching and learning that was.

Now that I know how it works, it all makes sense, but since last night, my whole perception of using the system has changed dramatically.

I didn’t go with tmpfs because I wanted some kind of backup. A buddy from the Nix Discord channel, iynaix, helped a lot (he’s a tmpfs addict), but I wanted some stuff to be backed up.
