Wow, that’s impressive
42 inch 4k TV (idk what kind of display it uses; it wasn’t originally mine all I know is it’s a Samsung). I use the speakers from an old (from the late 90’s) stereo system with a custom DAC/amp module with the Dolby Digital connection.
I had a yamaha rv6a feeding a big 5.2.1 setup, with a beautiful 75" samsung TV. I had to leave it all behind at my parents while i work away for a year or two :( currently using a couple bookshelves and a led tv i got for free. I miss 4k bluray movie nights, dont take what you have for granted!
We at least live near a top quality movie cinema. Going to see wolverine vs deadpool this weekend.
I have a Sony VPL-XW5000ES projecting onto a 133" screen in my living room.
For audio I have a Denon AVR-X2400H in a 5.1.2 configuration. My front speakers are Klipsch, the center is a ELAC UC52, the subwoofer is a SVS PB-1000 and the rear and height speakers are by B&W.
My setup evolved over many years but I pretty much have no complaints about it now. Everything looks and sounds perfect.
77" Samsung OLED.
Marantz 6015 running 5.2.4 surround
4 Tannoy XT-8F for front and surround
Tannoy XTC center
Fyne Audio F500 rear height speakers (Tannoy went out of business)
KEF q50a upfiring speakers for front heights
2 XTZ 12" 12.17 edge subwoofers
And an Nvidia Shield for good measure.
Ps5 performs disc duties.
LG c9 OLED 120hz
AVR is Yamaha Rx a 3060 feeding ohm walsh 2s at the front ( no center can match the walsh drivers) 4 Klipsch in ceilings and heresy 2s for rears in a 4.2.4 setup.
I’m pretty happy with it!
Hahaha…10 year old Alienware r8 hooked up to a 15 year old 32" Sony LCD tv and a couple hundred dollar LG sound bar.
Had an older 65 inch 1080p tv that died. So now we watch on my 32 inch 4k monitor. Using a pair of iLoud Micro speakers.
Will eventually get a new TV and proper sound setup.
