Not sure how that’s facepalm… the dogs going wild constantly is a pain. It’s not like it’s the same person who had a child with a peanut allergy so how could they know? It’s not like they were being thoughtless or rude.
Asking some anonymous neighbor to remove their peanut tree was pretty funny.
But maybe more, blaming the barking dogs - complainer’s own dogs - on a mysterious peanut feeder, as though squirrels wouldn’t be running around the neighborhood, playing on the fences and trees anyway, is like the poster has never experienced squirrels before.
Why are there so many of you fuckers out here that think peanuts grow on trees.

What, kids and allergies? Are the squirrels feeding the children peanuts? You have to eat the peanut to get an allergic reaction. It doesn’t work like fentanyl on cops, you won’t die by just being around the peanut.

Yeah… my neighbor has two rats (I mean small little ankle biting POS dogs) who bark anytime someone walks remotely near the backyard fence which is on a Main Street because he lives on a corner… or they sit by the front window which he leaves open and bark/whine all damn day while he’s gone…
I 100% sympathize with the neighbor complaining about the barking…

“Can’t control their prey drive” is a bad excuse. You control your dog or you don’t deserve to have one. End of story. A dog barking endlessly is the responsibility of the owner to control or get rid of their damn dog.
It isn’t hard to teach your dog not to be a nuisance. I’ve done it before. Blaming the dog because you failed to teach/control it is not correct, and simply shows that you do not have what it takes to be a dog owner.
I guarantee that you will not see any peanut trees on my property.

Get your dogs under control. If their barking hurts your ears, fucking train your dog.
Also, don’t feed wildlife. Squirrels are a natural part of the ecosystem, but if you feed them peanuts, they don’t go collect nuts and acorns and stash them. Stashing nuts and acorns spreads trees and grows forrests. Then you have too many squirrels and not enough food for all of them.
The previous owners of our home fed the squirrels. For the next 3 years after moving in they were breaking into our house, ruined all of the screens on the windows, chewed holes through our trashcans, spread trash on our yard, attempted to break in our cars and chewed holes in our fenders. All because they weren’t getting fed anymore.
Thousands of dollars in damage. Fuck squirrels.
I have a kid with a peanut allergy and when peanuts started showing up all over the place outside, we asked our neighbors the same thing: please stop giving the squirrels peanuts. We couldn’t let the kids go outside in their own backyard.
Thankfully, our neighbors are all generally really nice people and not child-murdering monsters, and actually stopped it.
People: Keep your peanuts to yourself and do not feed wildlife. Both of those things are common sense.
I wish it were that easy for us. We’ve got a walnut tree somewhere in the neighborhood, and those furry little fucks keep bringing them into our yard and either trying to break them open on the driveway or they’re burying them in the garden planters…
I like feeding my squirrely friends too much to stop
If you must, consider things that are unlikely to kill other people. The furry little troublemakers definitely love birdseed and sunflowers…
