They still use leaded fuel in airplanes. There are higher concentrations of lead contamination within a mile of an airport.
TIL, although I do see this is just the case for piston engine planes rather than jets.
IMO it makes it worse because we’re just allowing rich people to use it so they don’t have to pay to modify their private planes
I just read a report that says most piston aircraft don’t even need modifications to use unleaded so it sounds even dumber than that.
The FAA is too afraid to allow it and there isn’t enough pressure to do anything about it.
Even just rising levels of carbon dioxide take off a couple of IQ points.
