A second teacher at a high school in Missouri was put on leave after administrators discovered her OnlyFans side hustle.

Megan Gaither, 31, said during an interview with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that she was placed on leave from her English teaching and varsity cheerleading coach position on Oct. 27 after district officials found out about her account on the OnlyFans platform.

school children are underage and not allowed in strip clubs but they can access, chat, sext and do whatever with her online. It’s disturbing and unhealthy considering her role. If the genders were reversed, and a guy teacher was sexting his underage female students, it would not be ok

I think they’re saying theoretically the underage students could view her content or even interact with her without her knowing it’s them.

I don’t think anyone is trying to calculate some kind of moral blame. They’re identifying a scenario they don’t want to happen and they’re trying to prevent it. Fault doesn’t matter.

If one of her underage students illegally got on OnlyFans, it wouldn’t be her fault any more than it would be a convenience store’s fault if an underage kid stole beer. So punishing her for something they could potentially illegally do doesn’t really make sense.

you are right, and she was not punished or sent to jail. but their board decided that if that’s her lifestyle, then her ethics are not fit for the role of teaching kids. You have to consider the view of the kids patents and the standards of role relationship of a teacher in society. For example, if a shierf cop was filmed throwing the N word around, then he’d lose his job even if his personal views never affected his job. Same here, she’s not a pervert, but whay rolemodel are we keeping around kids if that’s fine. Also consider if the genders were reversed without hypocricy

Imo this example kind of holds, yes. Why should you fire an openly racist cop if he never comitted any violation or discriminated against a black suspect before? Same here. Realistically, there’s 99% chance that her students found out, bought and interacted with her on OF already. Btw that may have a negative lasting effect on how they disrespect and view teaching figures in such a way. It’s, inappropiate, not healthy and does not fit the role of school teacher. I respect your opinion but the parents of those kids would differ

An openly racist cop would discriminate against a black suspect. Because they’re racist. I don’t even know what you’re talking about now.

Because sex work is not unethical. Racism is unethical.

Wait till those kids find out almost every adult ever has sex. So inappropriate and unhealthy 🙄 maybe the parents should be parents and teach their kids about sex and porn and not interacting with adults they may know on Only Fans, especially as teenagers.

You misundertood that analogy. It’s about not fitting your role and job title. So even if she was never inappropiate or michevous with her students, she still has that life style. And even if that cop racisim never affected his job and he never discriminated agaisnt any race in his duty, he’s still not fit for that role.

Second of all, if you find out a male teacher sends dick pics to school girls then he’s a creep whom you can’t trust around your kids, but she does it and it’s appropiate ethical sex work and she’s fit to teach kids who highly likely seen her OF and intetacted with her?? If you convinced yourself with that hypocrite logic, then I have nothing to say. Also btw, sexual premiscuity is not the same as sex, and it’s a lifestyle that’s not compatible with many traits such as comitment and shivery. otherwise you can argue that cheating is not unethical either. Anyway, your opinion is yours.
