A big biometric security company in the UK, Facewatch, is in hot water after their facial recognition system caused a major snafu - the system wrongly identified a 19-year-old girl as a shoplifter.

      The ir glasses / cap does work but isnt very concealed, best bet is face mask preferably a loose fitting snood and a peak hat or sun glasses with snood

        I wonder if the more we wear mask, surgeon style, the better these image recognition system will get better at recognising people just from the eyes.

        I believe there are systems that can learn people from their gait (the way we walk) too.

        I do think homemade glasses would be conspicuous, but I imagine an led strip in a peak of a cap would be less so as you could just be a raver person but don’t have it turned on. As they would expect RGB and not know it’s IR.

        Another person mentioned Respectacles I think it was called, check the replies on the duplicate of this comment higher up the thread. But they expensive.
