Meta has added a new feature that allows Instagram users from blocking apps and websites from collecting personal data.

    IIUC the title is misleading. Meta will still grab any data it can, it just won’t (or at least promises not to, for whatever that’s worth) complement whatever it collects with additional data from other sources or share your data with its partners.

      Yes, data collecting is still happening, they just dont want to share with competitors. (And they get a few goodwill headlines suggesting meta is somehow “blocking data collection” haha)
