Okay, but then the very first thing he does is drag Wormtongue outside and almost hacks him in half in front of all his subjects. No trial, no questioning, no protecting the children from the horror.
Maybe giving the victim of abuse who has only just regained his senses a weapon was a poor choice
Justice delayed is justice denied
I AM THE LAW! In this city, we’ve got a saying: once is coincidence, twice is a booking offense! Gaze into the fist of Dredd!
idk theodin or something
Nah.
which is based
eh, who really suffered though?
His son was dead because of Grima’s lies. I’d have done the same.
Hmm…
Maybe if I swing my decorative katana around like a mall ninja…
How do you feel now?
While you all sit around moping with depression, I have been studying the blade…
Coughs Ahem, shit. Dunno what that was. I’m normal now.
“normal”
Just avoid hitting any light fixtures
That makes a day way too excited really quick
You’re not a snail, man, you’re a slug!
Is Gandalf actually male though? I didn’t dig deep enough into the lore to know that, but I do know that he is far different from your regular human/hobbit/dwarf-person. He does present as male, but that might just be a reflection of the societies he is more-or-less living in (i.e. the old wise man persona just makes sense for practical reasons).
They wore the guise of one for longer than many live. In that time he would have been treated and lived as one with mortals who wouldn’t know enough to think otherwise. If this is how he choose to live I see no reason to question it.
Well, Melian was also Maia, and was Luthien’s mother, so they at least can have genders.
Unless that’s just the nearest analog they had to describe the relationship?
Well, she married the elf-king, and had a daughter with him. Don’t know what would be more direct.
So that tells us they can at least take the required form, but doesn’t tell us they are necessarily fixed to it?
I know nothing about this lore so I’m really just fishing for someone with more knowledge to give definitive answers based on the literature.
Well since everyone was like “how do we get that dawg back in him” and Gandalf was the only one that thought to put a sword in his hand maybe Gandalf is the only one that is male.
Who are you, who are so wise in the ways of science?
Arthur, King of the Britons
I’m going to be honest, buying a war hammer and smashing some gourds from the grocery store made my serotonin levels skyrocket!
