Capitalism is a system of economics. It can exist with or without a government also existing.

How dare you! Circles!? They must be stars!!
“trump worse” doesn’t mean that this isn’t bad. The bar is so fucking low at this point, and even then Dems can’t clear it.
Looks like we have another holiday to add to the calendar.
I get that, but ceasefire to me has always meant a stop to the fighting, indefinitely. Basically, the fighting stops without any stated end. If it does end, it ends. But the time limit aspect, at least from my understanding, isn’t specified.
I do get your meaning tho, and in that context it is considered a ceasefire. Thanks for the insight, I had actually forgotten about that WW1 reference.
First of all FF7R shouldn’t be considered as remake, it should be considered as its own spinoff / sequel
Fucking finally someone gets it!
Give him a year or two and he’ll be back on their payroll. He’s gonna get the rahm Emanuel treatment.
Why is everyone calling this a ceasefire deal? It’s only for like, 4 days. It’s a pause.
Israel do love them some war crimes
Idk why every publication talking about this keeps pointing out that he was in the Obama administration. The guy has served in multiple admins over the years, dating back to the reagan admin I think.
Also grayzone? No offense, but those guys are loony. Founded by a guy who is a regular contributor to RT.
Translation to normal English:
“This spread brings us one step closer to killing all the dirty subhuman Arabs. Heil Bibi!”
Lol love hearing jackasses say “you don’t understand the real world” when it’s actually them that doesn’t understand the real world and as an excuse to justify a genocide.
When the US took out Osama, it didn’t do it with bombs. It was with special forces. Same is needed here.
- In favor of gun ownership without governmental limitations
Yea, because it’s done so well for us in the US having lax gun laws, right?
- Wants to freeze relationships with China, Russia, Brazil because they’re communists.
Umm, someone has no idea what communism is…
- Against the Pope because he represents evil on Earth, and because it promotes communism which goes against the holy scriptures.
Fucking WHAT 🤣 ok this jackass obviously hasn’t read the new testament either. Because Jesus and what he preached was the antithesis of what he stands for.
Well it was partly that. He also goes on to talk about how the US should be Islamic too, which isn’t a good look.
But yea, it really isn’t hating the US for being the US.
The sad part is he makes a lot of good observations and poignant criticisms, but just has to throw religion in there and some anti-Semitism.
Israel is special. They get treated like they’re absolute angels.
Just look at American media. Despite the Palestinian death toll, despite the lack of long-term goals, despite all the genocidal rhetoric, they’re still defended and will ask Palestinians they bring on who just lost some of, or all of, their family ad nauseam if they condemn Hamas and believe Israel has a right to defend itself.
Idk if it’s western guilt over the years long history of antisemitism or what, but they treat the state of Israel like they’re holy, just, and pure. And all that does is set in this idea amongst Israelis that they are those things and as such have every right to do what they do. Not all Israelis, but more than there should be.
Personally don’t like China, but I will say when they want shit done they get it done.
Nuclear power isn’t bad. I used to be anti-nuclear energy because of the specter of Chernobyl, 3 mile island, and Fukushima. But learning more about it, there haven’t been many actual problems with nuclear energy.
Chernobyl happened because of mismanagement and arrogance. 3 mile happened because of a malfunction. Fukushima happened because of mismanagement and failure to keep up safety standards in case of natural events.
These are all things that can be mitigated to one extent or another. it’s much cleaner than other forms of energy, outputs way more than solar or wind, and with modern technology can be extremely safe. I think we should be adopting nuclear, at least as a stopgap until renewable tech reaches higher output in efficiency.
Kinda annoyed that these investments are going into foreign countries, when we are one of the major contributors to greenhouse gas. We should be building them here first to mitigate our own ghg contributions, then helping smaller countries build theirs.
I do still have concerns about waste removal and storage tho, but I’m sure we could figure that out if we actually wanted to. But I doubt we do, because “dA cOsTs” or some shit.
I know, I was making fun of the post I commented on for trying to justify collective punishment.
Dude you responded to the post itself. So it sounds like you’re calling out the Palestinian civilians, especially when you said they should have thought about it before digging up pipes. It sounds like you’re saying they deserve it for something Hamas did.
That makes no sense. How is our economic system highly controlled in the US? Corporations run rampant, with scant regulation compared to some places like Europe.
A government’s size being big doesn’t instantly equal less capitalism if that government doesn’t do as much as it could to reel in corporate interests.
Case in point, our government here in the US is big but is controlled by corporate interests to such a degree that despite knowing about human made climate change since the late 60s, basically nothing has actually been done about it. Or how whenever there is any push for even a public option to live alongside private insurance, insurance companies go into overdrive running ads and paying politicians to push back against it so it never gets brought up after an election season.
