What exactly do you want to achieve in terms of security?

I want to have encrypted and private email so I thought about using proton but it turns out that forwarding emails is not making (pretty much) any difference. However, switching to proton is timeconsuming and will take a lot of effort (changing mail on every site im using). Eventually i will do that, sometime in the future.
