None. I go to the kitchen to drink water when I need it. In the mornings, I may have a cup of coffee, which is the only drink I would bring to my desk.
Is this true? I’ve been having some issues on my LibreWolf this past week or two, when sometimes YouTube takes 3-4 seconds to recognize a key press.
If that’s what they meant, there would have been a comma after “Control developer” I believe.
Oh the 430m is mile? I read it as meter and was confused by the 690k
Household of 2 adults (me and my partner), where we mostly do things that we prefer. Personally I think I end up taking charge of things that he would do less often than I would.
Just a warning, I’m a wimp and got scared in one specific scene/puzzle. It’s a very minor horror theme, ended up having to have my husband sitting on the floor next to me facing the other way to complete it cos I got too scared. Loved the series though, amazing games.
They’re just stopping development of the Pro to focus on the cheaper model so not necessarily abandoned
This seems to be a wider lemmy problem than lemmy.world. I tried setting it up on lemmy.ml and got the same issue. Posted to support here: https://lemmy.ml/post/1921909
I’m someone in that group. My last 2 jobs have been following a former manager. Now about 70% of the engineering department are from previous companies
Thanks for all your work! Love the new look and it’s working great now
All my hobby subreddits (origami, bouldering, cubers). Not nearly as big as a lot of other subs but they’re great
I was able to post in !newcommunities fine but I also ran into spinning wheel problems when trying to comment/post in some other communities. Haven’t checked if there are any known issues regarding this yet.
Absolutely! I was able to find so many communities and started new hobbies there. But I just have to remind myself that I was there for 12 years so it just takes time to find that elsewhere.
Agree with the hive mind thing. Im hoping this would be like smaller communities where you get to communicate with actual people and have moderate opinions rather than only extremes one way or the other upvoted to the top
I’m the same but still occasionally check Twitter because most of the people I follow are not on mastodon. There’s just not enough for me to engage there.
And Reddit was my main source of news so it’s difficult to leave behind. I’ve spent the past couple days browsing here to find similar things but again, not nearly enough engagement for me to fully drop Reddit. It will be a slow transition and I just need to remind myself that I was a Reddit user for 12 years and it was a similarly slow transition back then too
Feels a bit similar to moving to Mastodon from Twitter. easier to browse here than finding people to follow on Mastodon though
I started a new job at a nice-ish office, next to a pretty fancy mall. On my 3rd day, my colleagues invited me to lunch at the food court of the mall. A couple hours later, I started getting nauseous and sweaty. Had to rush to the bathroom a couple times, which looking back I was lucky it was coming out of one end instead of two. After the 2nd time, I thought I’d chance it and rush home rather than having to go through another ~2 hours of this at the office. Luckily I lived close to the office back then so I was able to make it home. But in my rush I forgot to tell my manager, just told a coworker sitting near my desk I wasn’t feeling well and left. I emailed my manager that night, telling him that I also wouldn’t be able to make it in the next day. So my very first week at this job, I was only there for 2.5 days before getting sick for 1.5 days. Not the best first impression.
I didn’t know until much later, but my manager told me that he thought I hated the job and was about to quit after a couple days.
