From what I’ve seen a lot of tech savvy users have joined Lemmy but it’s a lot harder to migrate your average football fan for as long as subreddits are still active

I got a ton of messages in modmail from people wondering why is the sub private during the blackout, so yeah a whole bunch of folks have no idea what’s going on on their own platform
